Apogee

"Apogee" is the name given to the highest point in a celestial orbit. When I wrote the track of this name it just seemed an appropriate title for that piece for some reason and I thought it would be a good title for the album. In many ways I feel that my music has reached it's highest point just now. I hope to get better of course! But for now the work on this album represents a long journey of acquiring the technical knowledge to record successfully to a PC, writing decent compositions and finding even a small number of people who actually like what I do!

All but four of the tracks are purely instrumental. I cannot sing a note! Some of these tracks were written with something specific in mind and others were simply written as "nice little tunes" and nothing more.

God of Night, Fly To Be, Wither and To The End were co-written with my friend Joanna Lero from Poland who sings so wonderfully on these tracks. Her lyrics are written out below.

Lyrics by Joanna Lero

God of Night

I am an actress on my mind's stage
I see the visions of what reality is to me
you so want to come
to play the main role
you call this life
I tell you “you're blind”
I'm the queen of me
you're not the king of us
not even one of us

Your life's so uninviting
get a new one it's so exciting
Watch your mistakes close
Watch the perjury of mind
I normally stand mind-walking on falling lines
Lines covered night
And I am god of night
Telling you your lies

Your life's so uninviting
get a new one it's so exciting
Oh how lonely you're without them
Now it's the time
To see what you were hiding
Take some notes
You will find some new about you
Quit the words
You still repeat the false wills
Of your fake empire

watch your mistakes close
And I am god of night
I am god of night
I am god of night

Fly To Be

now I found my fame
now I am like you
and I'd fly to be the one
I've been growing for far too long

I am taking them
then I fall
only then can I feel your soul

and I'd fly to be
fly to be there
going downwards still I fly in heart away

hate the clouds that swoon so fast
yet I yearn to swim with them
all your words will be forgotten
they will fade but pain will tear

so I'll lay on the ground
feel the earth
wish I saw some real moments there

so I'd fly to the days
cope with breath we'd take
still hear the noise of your fall
last fall, alone

now in silence I will follow your way
now I'm growing with some other flowers
now in silence I have decided to fall with you

and I'd fly to be
fly to be the one
but I grow on your tomb
pulling regrets away

Wither

never oh never again
you won't follow me to see me turning back
I would wither under piercing sun of yours
but the moon came and opened my eyes

it's your time now
to take a bow

people mirror visions that you force
chosen well, you know they want the same
phoney will so answer hides the truth
oh come on snake, you know it is you

look at yourself in their shattered frame
saying things you've said to me back then
fix it yourself, as the pieces break
only days will pass then they fall again

never oh never again
little words can scratch at my door
you could win with a little girl
but now I feel like a 10 feet tall

lustra pękają?
lepiej spuść wzrok
spójrz tam
to twe wizje na podłodze?
zagnij kolana by je podnieść
ukłoń się
jak kiedyś ja

bend your knees like you bend mine
bend your knees like you bend mine

it’s your time
to take a

look at yourself in their shattered frame
saying things you've said to me back then
fix it yourself, as the pieces break
only days will pass then they fall again

never take it away
never never again
never never again
never never again
never gonna take it away
never take it away
never gonna take it away
never never again
